“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates”. Deuteronomy 6:5-9
OUR MISSION: KIDS MATTER!
1) In order for children to learn what it means to be part of the body of Christ, we (the church body) need to recognize the truth that children are a vital part of the church today.
2) Children are the legacy and heritage of the church. We need to invest our time and resources to minster to them at their level.
3) The primary responsibility for training Christian children lies within the family. However, the Forestdale Children’s Ministry serves to reinforce and provide training and spiritual support for parents and the family unit.
4) The Children’s Ministry services to guide each child and youth towards a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through classroom instruction, mentorship relationships, prayer and encouragement.
Parent’s Room: We have a fully equipped nursery with age appropriate toys for little ones to play while parents enjoy the Celebration Service on our closed circuit television. The nursery is located in the back room of the church hall.
Truthquest: A Sunday School program that engages children from Pre-K through 5th Grade through interactive, hands-on-learning about God. Taught by exceptional and experienced teachers, who love kids and teach to serve because they love Jesus! Spiritual disciplines such as prayer, reading the Bible, offering, scripture memorization and personal devotions are incorporated into each week’s lesson.
SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY!
It is our priority to keep your child safe. All teachers and youth leaders have passed a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) background check through the State of Massachusetts.
